I used to do microblading, so I get why it’s the first word you type. Then nano changed my mind. You still get soft, realistic hair strokes, but they go in pixel by pixel with an ultra fine needle instead of a blade, and they work on more skin types, including oily and mature skin. That’s why I recommend nano brows first.

Did Your Old Microblading Turn Gray?
New brows don’t erase old pigment. They sit on top of it. So when microblading has turned gray, blue, or orange, I usually lighten it with laser first to give your new brows a cleaner canvas. Do nano brows hurt?
Most clients describe it as mild scratching, and I use numbing cream during your appointment to keep you comfortable. Most people are surprised by how easy it feels.
How long do nano brows last?
Most clients are set for 2 to 4 years before they need a Color Boost. Your skin, sun, and skincare all play a part, so I can’t promise a number.
How long do nano brows take to heal?
Healing takes about 10 to 14 days. They look darker at first, then flake, then soften into a natural shade. The color fully settles around 4 to 6 weeks, which is why your touch up comes later.
Are nano brows better than microblading?
For most people, yes. Microblading uses a hand blade and does best on normal to dry skin. Nano brows use an ultra fine needle, which is gentler and works on more skin types, including oily and mature skin.
Can you fix or remove old microblading?
I don’t touch up another artist’s work, because adding pigment over old pigment can leave brows looking solid and ashy. About 99 percent of those clients start with laser to lighten what’s there. Send me photos through my online consultation first, and I’ll map out your next step.
How many laser sessions will I need?
It depends on how your pigment responds, so I reassess after each one. The goal is usually lightening it, not erasing every trace.
What is a Color Boost?
A Color Boost refreshes nano brows I’ve already done for you once they start to fade. It’s just for my own clients.
How far ahead can I book?
I release dates 90 days at a time. If you don’t see one that works, join my waitlist and you’ll hear about new dates and last minute openings.
Where are you located, and what are your hours?
I’m inside Haven Beauty Collective at 14729 Excelsior Blvd in Minnetonka, just outside Minneapolis. Appointments run Tuesday through Friday, 9 to 5.
